What is the IBPS? Jobs after IBPS?


What is the IBPS Exam and which job should I get after this? Can someone please give me the complete information on the same? Awaiting for the answer soon!

What is IBPS:

IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) is an examination conducting agency. IBPS is an autonomous body set up to evolve and implement the world class process of assessment and selection of personnel for various client organizations. IBPS provides its services to below mentioned organizations.
* All Public Sector Bank (PSBs)
* State Bank of India
* Associate Banks of SBI
* NABARD
* Reserve Bank of India (RBI)
* SIDBI
* Few Co-operative Banks
* Insurance Companies
* Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC)

IBPS Conducts several recruitment examinations for Assistant, Specialist Officers, Probationary Officer (or) Management Trainee, RRBs and Clerical cadre posts. So if you are well versed with Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English, General Awareness and Computer Awareness sections then I am sure you will job in which IBPS conducts. IBPS stands for Institute of Banking personnel selection and it recruits the clerk, probationary officer, specialist Officer candidates for Government sector banks and Regional Rural Banks.
The candidate must be Indian citizen to apply for exams conducted by IBPS.
The minimum educational qualification required to apply for IBPS CLERK and PO exams is Graduation in any discipline from UGC approved institution or university.
Age limit to apply for IBPS CLERK exam is 21-28 years and for IBPS PO exam is 21-30 years and the age relaxations are as per government regulations.
The selection procedure of IBPS CLERK post is preliminary exam,main examination and Language Proficiency Test & for IBPS PO exam is preliminary test,main exam and personal interview.
Written test for both CLERK & PO will be conducted in 5 sections.They are
* Reasoning ability
* English language
* General awareness with special reference to banking industry and current affairs
* Quantitative aptitude or numerical ability
* Computer awareness.

IBPS - INSTITUTE of BANKING PERSONNEL SELECTION which recruit and place young graduates in PUBLIC SECTOR BANKS in India (except SBI).
IBPS conducts exams like
IBPS PO
IBPS RRB
IBPS CLERK
IBPS SO
