Procedure to become an IRS Officer:-
IRS stants for Indian Revenue Officer. The IRS exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year. To become a IRS officer , you need to appear for the IRS exam. To be eligible to appear for the IRS exam, you must satisfy the following eligibility criteria as maintained below:- Nationality:- You must be a citizen of India. Educational Qualification:- You must have completed the bachelor's degree course in any discipline from a recognised University. Age limit:- Age limit is between 21 to 30 years. Age relaxation of 3 years to OBC candidate and 5 years to SC/ST candidates is applicable as per the government rules. Physical Requirements:- You must be physically fit according to the physically requirement maintained in the notification issued by the UPSC for the civil services examination. Selection Procedure:- Selection of candidates is based on their performance in the following stages:- Preliminary Examination Mains Examination Personal Interview. The candidates who have qualified in all the three rounds are selected for the Indian Revenue Services Department. |

To become an I.R.S officer, you have to appear and qualify in Civil Service examination.
The examination is conducted by UPSC. The eligibility to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognised university. The examination is conducted in three stages. For more information about the examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

To be an IRS (Indian Revenue Service) Officer, you must qualify for the Civil Services examination held by UPSC.
Further, for appearing in the same examination, you need to satisfy the following criteria:- * You must have citizenship of India. * Your age must lie between 21 years to 32 years as of the 1st August of that year in which the examination is held. Also, upper age limit relaxation is provided for reserved category candidates as per the government norms. * You must have completed your graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Candidates can appear in the same examination while pursuing the final year of their degree course. I.R.S stands for Indian Revenue Service is one of the service alloted after qualifying in the Civil Service examination which is conducted by UPSC.
The eligibility to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline. The age limit is 21-32 years and relaxation for the reserved category. 1. Educational Qualification
To be eligible for becoming an IRS officer the candidate must possess a degree from an Indian University or an equivalent qualification. Those in the final year of a degree course can also appear in the Preliminary Examination taken every year by UPSC. 2. Age The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years on 1st August of the year of examination and must not have attained 30 years of age on that date. The upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. Nationality: For the Indian Revenue Service, a candidate must be one of the following: A citizen of India A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam to permanently settle in India
Educational Qualification: The candidate should have any of the following credentials: A degree from a Central, State, or Deemed University A degree received through Correspondence Education or Distance A degree from an Open University A qualification recognized by the Government of India as being equivalent to either of the above. The following candidates are also eligible, but have to submit proof of their eligibility from a competent authority at their institute/university at the time of the main examination, failing which they will not be allowed to attend the exam: Candidates who have passed the final exam of the MBBS degree but have not yet completed their internship Candidates who have passed the Final exam of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), ICSI and ICWAI A degree from a private university A degree from any foreign university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) Age Limit: Age limits vary according to caste reservations. The minimum age limit for a candidate is 21 years. The upper age limit for the General category is 32 years. The upper age limits are as follows For OBC: Upto 35 years For SC/ST: Up to 37 years.
