Admission criteria in AMU for 11th class students of UP?

AMU stands for Aligarh Muslim University and it is the one of the best university for higher secondary degree or higher degree courses.

For admission in the AMU for Class 11th one has to clear its entrance examination called as SSSC.

The educational qualification required for appearing in the same examination is a secondary school degree from a recognized board of education with an average of 45% aggregate of English, Mathematics and Science.

AMU offers courses in Arts/Science/Commerce/Humanities/Diploma in engineering for higher secondary degree and cutoffs for all the streams are different.

The application form for admission test of AMU are made available by the end of March and the examination is held in the last week of May every year.

To join in AMU you need to satisfy certain criterai's for joining in courses. BEing in 11th is not eligible for applying, but in the case of applying after +2 the procedure is:

You need to apply for the respected course entrance exams which you are interested, you can get the application forms either from College or at the official site of AMU.

You can apply in 2 modes:

# ONLINE
# OFFLINE

For Online mode you can choose 2 options in drop down either online through net banking or Canara Bank Challan Mode. You should provide the details of the Challan Number in DD number column.

In the case of Offline mode you can apply for the exam through Bank Draft in favor of "Finance Officer, AMU" payable at Aligarh.

Admission to Class 11 are done on the basis of Entrance Test conducted by the university annually.

There are separate Entrance tests for the Arts/Science/Commerce/Humanities/Diploma in Engineering.

You need to be strong enough in your concepts in Science and Mathematics.

Eligibility:

> You must have passed High School / Class 10th or its equivalent examination with not less than 70% marks in average for English, Science and Mathematics subjects from a recognized University.

> Once you fulfill the stated criteria, you can apply for the admission process and prove your ability in the Entrance Test.


NOTE: Admissions are provided strictly on the basis of merit list, which means toppers of the test will get admission first.
