To be eligible to study B.Tech (Chemical Engineering) course in Calcutta Institute of Technology, you should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with Science stream from a recognised board. Admissions to B.Tech (Chemical Engineering) course in Calcutta Institute of Technology are done through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and All India Engineering Examination conducted by CBSE.

=> The duration of B.Tech. Calcutta Institute of Technology (CIT) offers different courses from which B.Tech in Chemical Engineering is one of them.
Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Chemical engineering is a graduation level degree. The duration of the course is 4 years. The eligibility required for studying this course in CIT is a 10+2 in PCM subjects with minimum 50% from any recognised board. The eligibility criteria is minimum 45% in 10+2 to take admission in BTech in this college.
Now, for admission purpose, the college requires scores from entrance tests. JEE- MAINS, and WBJEE These are the 2 exams whose score is accepted by the college. After obtaining scores, you can attend WBJEE counselling for the purpose of admission; or can directly go to college for admission. |

One is you must have minimum 45% in 10+2; and The other one is you need to get the cut off scores in WBJEE or JEE-Mains, which is mentioned by the college every year at the time of admission. |
