Dear friends, I am interested to study BTech(Mechanical Engineering) from Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College. So, I would like to know about the process of getting admission in this institute for this BTech course asap.

If you want to pursue BTech(Mechanical Engineering) in Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, you need to appear in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (WBJEE). Candidates are selected based on rank obtained in West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (WBJEE) followed by counselling. Candidates who have passed 12th class in Science stream with Physics, Mathematics as main subjects with minimum 60% of marks from a recognized board are eligible to attend West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (WBJEE).

In order to seek admission in BTech in Mechanical Engineering in this college, you need to appear in JEE Mains Examination.
And you must have passed your 12th standard with PCM from a recognised board in order to appear in this examination.

You must take WBJEE entrance exam and must get the required cut-off rank for the said course and must have scored a minimum of 45% in Physics, Chemistry & Maths and 30% in English in your Higher Secondary School to do B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College.
