It is not possible to directly join as a Captain in Indian Army. However, you can join as an Officer in Indian Army after completing B.Sc. Based on your efforts and skill you may get promoted to higher Grade. You can join in Indian Army through the CDS entrance exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.

• The applicant must be an unmarried male.
• The applicant must be Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
• The applicant age must be in between 19 years to 24 years.

Yes, you can apply for the post of Captain in Indian Army after B.Sc in graduation.
Candidate have to apply for CDS examination.
After completion of application procedure candidate have to appear in written exam.
After passing written exam candidate will be called for SSB Interview.
Candidate who passed the SSB Interview will have to appear for medical test. It is the last step of the selection procedure.
Candidate will be given as Captain rank after the completion of training period.

You can not become Captain directly. There are so many posts below it also. You will be promoted to Captain after certain years of service in Army. After bachelor's degree in science, you can apply for Combined Defence Services exam conducted by UPSC.

This exam is held twice every year. You can check the notification for exam at www.upsconline.nic.in.

The age limit for Indian Military academy is 19-24 years.

There is written test and SSB to get into Academy.

You cannot join in as a captain directly in Indian army. You must first join in Indian army and based on your performance and ranking you will be promoted as a captain. After having completed B.sc you are eligible for applying for the entrance exam for joining in Indian army.

You can take up exams such as CDS, UES, NCC Special Entry Scheme. The eligibility needed for the respected exams are:

For CDS :

Candidate should have a citizenship in India and the age limit needed for joining in Indian army is 19-24 years. Educational qualification needed is completed degree in any stream from a recognized university.

For UES :

Candidate should have a citizenship in India. Age limit needed is 19-25 years and educational qualification needed is completed degree. Even final year exam appearing candidate can apply.

For NCC Special Entry Scheme:

Should have citizenship in India as per nationality standards, age limit needed is 19-25 years. Candidate should have completed degree in any stream from a recognized university with at least 50% aggregate.

First thing which I would like to make you clear that there is no such entrance examination which can appoint you as a captain in Indian Defense Services. Also, you can be appointed as a lieutenant at maximum by clearing any competitive examination and then by getting promotion according to your performance you will be promoted to captain and other higher posts.

Also to be appointed as lieutenant in Indian Army you will have to join Combined Defense Services at first to receive necessary training and education before your recruitment. Also for joining CDS you will need to clear its entrance examination which is organised twice every year by Union Public Service Commission in two stages which includes Written examination and Service Selection Board interview respectively.

For appearing in the same examination for joining Indian Army ( Indian Military Academy ) you will need to have the qualifications given here under :-

* You must have the nationality of India with your age lying within 19 years to 24 years.

Yes luckily you have a chance to join Indian Army as a officer. The rank allotted by using this entry scheme is lieutenant. CDS is the entry through which you will get what you want.

Sorry it is not possible for you to become a Captain in Indian Army after B.Sc. It is based on your experience and Talent. However, you can join in Indian Army after completing B.Sc Graduation. I am sorry to say you that you cannot directly apply for the post of Captain in India Army, There is no such process for it to apply directly.
You should first appear for NDA, UPSC examinations qualifying which you will be able to join India Army in officer rank.
