Indian Army came into existence in the year 1947 when the nation gained independence. Most of the infrastructure of the Indian army was inherited from the British Indian Army at the time of its establishment. Right from the independence of the nation, the Indian Army has been guarding the nation from all sorts of threats from neighboring countries.

Recruitment by Indian Army:

Indian Army has invited applications from Indian Nationals for grant of Short Service Commission in the Army Dental Corporations and the details regarding the notification issued by the army in this respect is given below:

Name of the Position: SSC Officer Dental Corps.

Number of positions: 32

Emoluments: Selected candidates will be granted the rank of Captain with basic pay of Rs.17472 and they will be coming under PB-3 with Rs.15600-39100 and a GP of Rs.6100, military service pay of Rs.6000. Eligibility Conditions:

Candidates must have completed their Bachelor of Dental Surgery course with not less than 5% of marks in the final year or even candidates with MDS degree from a recognized university/institution can apply. MDS candidates will be given extra salary as compared to BDS candidates. They should also have completed one-year internship programme that is recognized by Dental Council of India. Candidates should be medically fit and they should not be more than 45 years of age as on the 31st of December 2011. Candidates should also possess permanent dental registration certificate that is valid at least up to 31st Dec 2011.

Selection procedure:

Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on final year marks of the BDS course and on the basis of number of attempts taken in final year. Shortlisted BDS candidates will be called for interview before the selection board. However, all the MDS candidates fulfilling the eligibility requirements will be called for interview and in this case there will not be any shortlisting of candidates for interview. Candidates who are provisionally selected will be brought before the medical board for medical examination.

Candidates can download the application form from www.indianarmy.nic.in and they will have to apply on a plain paper giving their particulars in the application form and this should be sent to the address given below before the 15th of October 2011:

    sir,
    my hand was fractured about 12 yrs ago now am completely fine but it look slightly different from other hand but able to do all the work . now am doing my BDS is there any chance to join in SSC as army dental cops.
