CLAT is stands for Common Law Admission Test. This exam is conducted for admission for LLB & LLM course.

If you have completed 12th standard from any stream with above 50% marks from a recognized board then you are eligible to attend in CLAT exam for admission in Under graduate course.

The candidate age should not be more than 20 Years for under graduate course.

Common Law Admission test (CLAT) is an All India National Law Entrance examination Conducted on Rotation by 16 National Law Universities for admission to their UG and PG Degree Programmes (LL.B & LL.M)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

For UG courses:

1. The Candidates appearing for the exam must have passed/appearing in the class 12th or its equivalent examination from a Recognized Board and should have scored an Aggregate of 45% and 40% in case of SC and ST candidates.

2. A candidate should be below 20 years of age as on 01st July,2015 and 22 years in case of SC, ST and PH category candidates.

FOR PG COURSES:

1. A candidate must have obtained LL.B degree or any other equivalent Degree from a recognized university with not less than 55% marks in aggregate and 50% in case of SC and ST candidates.

2. There is No upper age limit for PG courses.

SYLLABUS:

* For UG courses:

1. English - Comprehension passages, Grammar, Omissions/corrections, Fill in the Blanks, Incorrect sentences, Spotting error etc..,

2. Legal Aptitude - Study of Law, problem solving ability and Legal Prepositions.

3. Logical Reasoning - Patterns, Analogies, sequences, Visual Reasoning, Syllogisms etc..,

4. Elementary Mathematics - profit & Loss, Percentages, Problems on ages, HCF & LCM, Simple Interest and Compound Interest.

5. GK and Current Affairs - Culture, History, Sports, News, Inventions etc..,

* For PG courses:

1. Law of Contracts
2. Law of Trots
3. Criminal Law
4. Constitutional Law
5.Legal Theory.

EXAM PATTERN:

* For UG courses:

Duration of Time is 2 Hours.

1. General Knowledge/Current Affairs - 50 Questions
2. General English - 40 questions
3. Elementary Mathematics - 20 questions
4. Legal Aptitude - 50 questions
5. Logical Reasoning - 40 questions.

* For PG courses:

1. Constitutional Law - 50 questions
2. Jurisprudence - 50 questions
3. other Law subjects - 50 questions.

PROCEDURE TO APPLY:

1. Candidates can apply application form through online mode.
2. Availability of application forms - from 1st January, 2015 to 31st March, 2015.
3. The Online application form will be accessible on the CLAT official Website.
