Respected Sir, can you please help me to know about the eligibility criteria for getting admission in Institute of Technology Gopeshwar for studying BTech(Electrical Engineering)? I am interested in joining this college for this course so I want to know about the eligibility criteria.

The eligibility to get admission in 1st year of B.Tech course is :-

Candidate must have passed 12th in PCM with minimum 45% aggregate.

Admission will offered through :-

Uttarakhand State Counselling.

Merit basis ( aggregate in 12th board examination ).

There is also lateral entry for Diploma or B.Sc candidates.

To pursue B.Tech in Electrical Engineering degree course at Institute of Technology Gopeshwar, the minimum education required is a Class 12th (i.e; intermediate) with at least 45% marks (0r 40% marks in case of reserved category candidates) in aggregate in PCM from a recognized board of education.

For admission in the second year of same degree course through lateral entry, the minimum education required is Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. (with Mathematics as a subjects in Class 12th) with 50% marks in aggregate from recognized institutes.

Eligibility to get BTech(Electrical Engineering) admission in Institute of Technology Gopeshwar----


Candidates should have a diploma in engineering degree from any AICTE approved Institute with at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category in the appropriate branch of Engineering).

Candidates should be passed the intermediated exam from a recognised board with at least 50% marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics and 45% for reserved category students in science stream.

Passed BSc degree from a recognized university as defined by UPSC with atleast 50% marks.
