It is very easy to calculate percentage from CGPA according to WBUT norms. You just to need to follow the formula which is used by University. The formula is given below and you have to just enter your CGPA and calculate the percentage.

(CGPA - 0.75) * 10 = %age of marks

In your case you have got 6.5 CGPA. So put this value in place of CGPA and calculate the answer.

(6.5 - 0.75) * 10 = 57.5%

So you have got 57.5% marks.

According to WBUT norms you simply have to follow as below for getting the solution to your problem,

** (CGPA - 0.75 ) * 10 this formula give you the percentage of marks.

** 6.5 - .75 then multiply the result with 10,this will give you the percentage of your marks.

It is a simple method to convert CGPA in to Percentage. And actually CGPA refers to Cumulative Grade Point Average .And If you want to convert the CGPA in to Percentage try to follow the below rule.

Percentage = (10 -0.50)*CGPA

As you said you have got 6.5 CGPA so your percentage is (10-0.5)*6.5

So your percentage of 61.75%.

You can easily calculate your marks in percentage figure, Please follow these steps below

Step 1 :
Deduct .75 from your CGPA.

Step 2 :
Multiply the result with 10.

Example :
Assume you have scored 7.4 CGPA.
According to step 1 after deducting .75 it will be (7.4-.75) = 6.65
Then you should multiply 10 with 6.65.
Which means 6.65 * 10 = 66.5

So your percentage is 66.5 %
