Hello everyone, I want to study BTech. In present I am studying in 12th standard with PCM. I would like to know that how can I get admission in NIT of any branch to do BTech course? Please help me to know about this asap.

NIT stands for National Institute of Technology. Candidates are given admission in B.Tech in NITs on basis of rank secured in Joint Entrance Exam Main. JEE Main is conducted by NTA twice every year from 2019.

Candidates who have done 12th with PCM from a recognized board can apply for it if they have minimum of 75% marks in board exam. Board appearing candidates can also apply for it.

Admission Process in Bachelor of Technology in National Institute of Technology:

Academic qualification: You should be 12th passed with PCM subjects and secured minimum of 75% marks in board exam of 12th.

Then you can apply for Joint Entrance Examination.

JEE Main scorecard is used for admission for in NITs. Higher is the rank, better is chance of getting admission in top NITs.

IITs, NITs etc are premier engineering institutes of India.

1. Those who want to pursue engineering course at undergraduate level needs to crack Joint Entrance Examination.

2. JEE is conducted by NTA. To apply for this exam, you must have studied PCM subjects in 12th and scored at least 75% marks.

Your JEE Main score will decide your college and stream.

NIT refers to National Institute of Technology and for getting admission in NITs for pursuing undergraduate technical degree courses, you are required to qualify JEE ( Joint Entrance Examination) Main held by NTA.

Further, to appear in JEE Main for seeking admission in any NITs to pursue B.Tech degree course, the minimum education required is a Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects with at least 75% marks (or 65% marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category) from a recognised board. However, students failing to secure above specified marks in their Class 12th but still making to the top 20 percentile candidates of their Class 12th qualifying board examination are also eligible.

To get admission in NIT, candidates will have to appear and qualify in the Joint entrance examination.

The examination is conducted for admission in B.Tech course.

So, you need to focus on the board examination as well as on JEE Main to get admission in NIT for B.Tech course.

B.Tech stands for Bachelor of Technology. Basically, the duration of this course is four years.

The candidate should have passed 12th class with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized board of education.

In order to get admission in B.Tech course in IIT or NIT college, you have to appear in JEE main and Jee Advanced examination.

In IIT or NIT college, the selection of the candidate will be done on the basis of entrance examination so you have to score good marks in Entrance examination.
