Hello friends, I am really confused regarding this issue. Actually, I want to know about JEE Main and BTech. I am studying in Diploma Engineering final year and I would like to do BTech course after my Diploma course. So, after my Diploma Engineering course I have to give JEE Main or I can get direct admission?

It is not necessary to appear in JEE Main to study BTech after completing Diploma Engineering. After completing Diploma Engineering, you can get direct admission in 2nd year in B.Tech through lateral entry. There are various entrance exam for lateral entry in B.Tech. Such entrance exams are given below.

If your aim is to study B.Tech after diploma in engineering stream, then you have to appear for JEE Main or any other entrance exam. There is no admission without any entrance exam. If you want admission at IIT and NIT, then JEE Main is compulsory.

There are other lateral entry engineering entrance exams too for B.Tech 2nd-year admission directly for diploma engineering holders. Just make sure you have got good preparation for the entrance exam.
