I am pursuing my B.Tech in computer science, 3rd year, from a private college in NCR ( Jaypee Institute of Information Technology , Noida) .
I want a teaching profession in mathematics. So i am thinking of doing M.Tech in Mathematics related subject.
Is it possible?
And if possible, then will i be a lecturer just after M.tech or PhD is necessary?

Yes, of course you are eligible for M.Tech Mathematics course after completing B.Tech in Computer science. Those candidates who have completed B.Tech in related specialization can apply. Since, that you are aspiring to become a lecturer, you must qualify in CSIR NET entrance exam after M. Tech. Master Degree course is the main criteria to apply for CSIR NET entrance exam. PhD is necessary for research field not for Lecturer.

M.Tech Mathematics Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must have complete B.Tech or B.E in relevant specialization from recognized university.
• Master degree holders in Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics can also apply.
• Applicants must have secured at least 60% marks in the qualifying examination.
• Applicants appearing in the qualifying examination can also apply subject to their passing the examination before the admission are finalized

I am pursuing b.e civil engineering but I am interested in mathematics so can I do M. Tech in mathematics
