Scope of doing B.Sc(Ophthalmology) in Sankara Nethralaya? Differences among Optometry and Ophthalmology?
Hello Sir,
Kindly tell me what is the scope of B.Sc(Ophthalmology) in Sankara Nethralaya? And what is the difference between B.Sc(Optometry) and B.Sc(Ophthalmology)? |

B.Sc degree on optometry or Opthalmology, doesn't have much differences and jobs in this field are mostly similar. You can't become an eye doctor by doing B.Sc course, hence they are not much different.
You can either work in eye lab as a technician or open your own optics center. Hence, choose according to the facilities at both colleges. |

There is no such education called as Bsc ophthalmology, it's a B. Optometry and it's a independent primary eye care professional, ophthalmologist is a eye specialist is a medical doctor. Optometrist is doctor or not still a controversial but if you have OD you are a optometrist doctor.
