Eligibility for M.com in Calcutta university are as follows:

* Candidate must have bachelor's degree in any relevant stream or B.com or
B.com(hons.) or equivalent degree.
* Candidate must have a minimum of 45% marks ( 40% marks for Sc/St category ) to
be eligible for admission.

# regular education is better than distance education as it provide you the environment
for learning the practical as well as theory skills. you will get various opportunities for
learning various skills and get contact with your professor. so , regular is better over
distance education.

The eligibility criteria for M.Com (Master of Commerce) in Calicut University, whether pursued through distance education or regular mode, are generally as follows:

1. Bachelor's Degree: Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or an equivalent degree from a recognized university. Some universities may also accept graduates from other disciplines but may require them to take additional foundation courses.

2. Minimum Marks: Candidates are usually required to have a minimum aggregate score of 45-50% in their qualifying degree, although the exact percentage may vary depending on the university and category of the candidate (reserved or general).

It's important to note that eligibility criteria can change, and it's always advisable to refer to the official website of Calicut University or the specific institution offering the M.Com program for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

Regarding the choice between distance education and regular mode for pursuing M.Com, it depends on your individual circumstances and preferences. Here are a few factors to consider:

1. Flexibility: Distance education programs often offer greater flexibility in terms of study schedule and location. If you have work or other commitments that make it difficult to attend regular classes, distance education might be a better option.

2. Interaction and Networking: Regular mode programs provide opportunities for face-to-face interaction with faculty and peers, allowing for better networking and collaborative learning experiences. If you value direct interaction and prefer a structured classroom environment, a regular mode program might be more suitable.

3. Personal Discipline: Distance education requires self-motivation, time management, and discipline as you will be responsible for organizing your study schedule and completing coursework independently. Regular mode programs offer a more structured and supervised learning environment.

To determine the eligibility criteria for MCom (Master of Commerce) in Calicut University, it is best to refer to the official website of the university or contact the university directly. The eligibility requirements may vary depending on the university's regulations, so it's always advisable to gather accurate and up-to-date information from the official sources.

Regarding the choice between distance education and regular mode, it depends on your personal circumstances and preferences. Here are some factors to consider when making the decision:

1. Flexibility: Distance education offers more flexibility in terms of study schedule and location, allowing you to balance other commitments like work or family. Regular mode requires attending classes on campus according to a fixed timetable.

2. Interaction: Regular mode provides more opportunities for face-to-face interaction with professors and peers, fostering meaningful discussions and networking. Distance education primarily relies on online platforms and virtual communication, which might limit direct interaction.

3. Resources and facilities: Regular mode generally provides better access to university facilities like libraries, laboratories, and campus resources. Distance education often provides online resources and materials but might have limitations when it comes to physical facilities.

Consider these factors based on your individual circumstances, such as work commitments, location, personal preferences, and learning style, to make an informed decision about which mode of education is better suited for you.
