No, the information what you had heard regarding that B.Tech students are not eligible to appear in Bank examinations is completely wrong. B.Tech students are eligible to appear in Bank examinations. So, if you are interested to do job in Banking sector being a B.Tech student then, you can prepare for the bank examinations. Once, you have qualified the written examination, you will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

It is totally absurd that candidates passed b.tech course are not eligible to appear for banking examination.

The examination for recruitment in banking examination is conducted by IBPS/SBI. The common eligibility to appear for examination is :-

Candidate must have passed bachelor degree from any recognised university.

Candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline and with minimum passing marks.

So, you are eligible to appear for examination. So, you can prepare for examination to get the job.

As far as my knowledge is concerned, preparing for Banking Examination is good to find better career. Who told you that B.Tech candidates are not eligible to apply for bank examinations ? Till now there was no such official notification is releases yet. So do not follow rumors until the fact is declared officially.

>> Candidates from B.Tech background are absolutely eligible for appearing in Banking based examinations as of now.

>> The basic educational qualification required for applying for Banking Examination's is "Bachelor Degree" or a Graduate Degree in "ANY DISCIPLINE".

>> There is no percentage criteria required to be eligible. As Banks or Examination conducting agencies allowing B.Tech candidates to apply for its recruitment and you no need to worry about the criteria as of now.

You want to know that whether B.Tech students are eligible for banking exams or not. First of all I clarify that you have heard wrong. B.Tech student are definitely eligible for banking exams.

>>The main eligibility criteria for banking exams such as SBI/IBPS PO, clerk etc is that student must possess graduation degree from a graduation degree from a recognized university. So any graduated students (B.Tech/ B.A/ B.Com/ B.Sc etc) are eligible for banking exams.

>>Not only this, Nowadays B.Tech students clear the banking exams more than normal graduation students. So in my opinion you have no need to worry about this you have to start your preparation. If you still have any doubt then you can go through the detailed advertisement of bank exam (IBPS PO) which I am providing to you.

Nice to see your interest in Banking sector. There are lot opportunity in Banking sector. BTech candidates are eligible to appear in the banking exam so don't confuse.

Any graduate candidates are eligible to appear in the bank exam. If you are a B.Tech candidate then you may prepare for the bank PO exam. This is one of the good job in the banking sector. Every year the IBPS conducts the common written examination for PO/Clerk. You may appear in this examination after completing B.Tech course.

So, don't worry B.Tech candidates are eligible to appear in the banking sector examination. The competition is tough due to large number of candidates. Every year approx 10 lakhs of candidates appear in the bank PO examination but only few thousand candidates selected finally. So, decide your career and prepare yourself.
