I am mbbs student from Andhra pradesh in final year now and next year i would be going into internship but our government has included a 1 year rural service for us which is mandatory..can i attend ias exam in my internship??

Yes, you are eligible for IAS exam.

If you have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university then you are eligible for IAS exam.

Doesn't required any kind percentage marks in 10th and 12th standard.

Age Criteria:

For General: 21 to 30 years
For OBC: 21 to 33 years
For SC/ST: 21 to 35 years

No. of Attempts:

For General: 3
For OBC: 7
For SC/ST: No Restriction

Selection process for IAS exam:

1)Preliminary test
2)Mains exam
3)Personal interview

If you have your MBBS Degree in your hand, then only you can apply for UPSC Civil Services Examination. Also, those candidates who are in final year of Graduation and expect their degree before the mentioned date in notification are also eligible.

Hence, if you are able to receive your provisional degree before the date mentioned in the notification, then surely you should apply for the IAS exam.

There is age limit for this exam which is 21 to 30 years. There is age relaxation available for candidates who belong to reserved category.

1. SC/ST : 5 years relaxation
2. OBC : 3 years relaxation
3. PWD : 10 years relaxation
