I was in confusion that whether the internship and project work which is given in college are same or not. Kindly explain me in detail?

Internship is an external activity carried out at a private or public structure under the supervision of a professor and of a company tutor.
Whereas project is an Internal activity during which students autonomously develop a scientific research under the supervision of a professor and in context of activities carried out at a faculty.
It's focus is mainly on planning , communication and network.

Internship focuses on direct interaction with working environment.

Are internship and project the same thing? Kindly explain me in detail?

Internship is where you work as a junior to get real work experience (paid, scholarship, unpaid depends on your situation). Project work is about being assigned to a project. You'd be working with and helping out senior employees with their work in whatever ways you can help.
