Can I become a Professor with PhD(Journalism and Mass Communication) program of Manipur University?


Hello friends, I would like to know that if I do PhD(Journalism and Mass Communication) from Manipur University then is it possible to become a Professor or not? Please let me know that can I become a Professor or not? Thank you!

Sorry, it's not possible to become a Professor with PhD in Journalism and Mass Communication course. You must qualify in the UGC NET entrance exam to become a Professor. PhD is the next level.

UGC NET Eligibility Criteria:

- Those candidates who wish to apply for UGC NET entrance exam must complete the master degree with at least 55% from a recognized university. The candidates who belong to (OBC)/ ST/SC categories are required to score at least 50%.

- Candidates age should not be more than 30 years for JRF and, there is no upper age limit for candidates for Assistant Professor’s post.
