Can I get admission to study PhD in Biomedical Engineering in IIT if secured 94.6 percentile in GATE?


Hello,
I have got 94.6 percentile and a GATE score is 433 marks. Can you please tell me if I can get admission in PhD in Biomedical Engineering at IIT or not? Waiting for your reply.

You have got 94.6 percentile and GATE score is 433 marks so you are not eligible for Ph.D in Biomedical Engineering at IIT. But if you have qualify in CSIR NET exam then you are eligible for Ph.D course in IIT.

Those candidates who have completed BS-4 years program/BE/B. Tech/B. Pharma/MBBS/Integrated BS-MS/M.Sc. or Equivalent degree with at least 55% marks are eligible for CSIR NET exam.

Your age should be below 28 years.

Getting good score in IIT and GATE is not the criteria to pursue Ph.D course. Below however, I have mentioned the eligibility criteria to pursue Ph.D course, kindly have a look at it.

Eligibility for Ph.D:

> Candidates need to have a PG qualification with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University.

> Candidates will have to clear NET/SLET/JRF/GATE exam.
