M.Tech (Biomedical Engineering) – Course Details
M.Tech (Biomedical engineering) provides detailed study on topics like biomedical signal processing and analysis, biomedical image processing, and advanced biomaterials. Generally, GATE exam score is required for admission in reputed colleges like IITs and NITs. Non GATE candidates are also eligible to seek admission. In such cases they need to qualify the entrance test conducted by the concerned University. VITMEE (conducted by VIT), SRMEE (conducted by SRM University), etc are some these entrance exams.

Admission Procedure for M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering
Admission procedure for M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering varies with college/ University. As a general procedure for attaining admission for M.Tech course, candidates must qualify GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering). Majority of the reputed engineering colleges such as IITs, and NITs offer admissions on the basis of the GATE score. Also, there are some colleges which select candidates for M.Tech courses even without GATE score card. For instance, VIT University take up students for M.Tech course without GATE score. A separate entrance exam, VITMEE (VIT Masters Entrance Exam) is organized by this university for granting M.Tech admissions. S.R.M University offers admissions for candidates who have qualified GATE or SRMEE.
