I m mrs vinita gandhe . I m completed my BA in Eng from BHU and MA in Lingustics from BHU .Now i m doing double MA in Eng . I want to do phd but i dont understand what should be i do net or phd or mfil ? And i dont know very much about net, phd and mfil .So i want to know all details about these and want to right suugesstion.

You have completed MA in English so you are eligible for Ph.D course through UGC NET score card. You can no go for M.Phil course. Because M.Phil course has no value.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conducted twice time in year by UGC.

Those candidates who have completed masters degree from a recognized university are eligible for NET exam. General and OBC candidates should hold 55% and above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree.

Age criteria for NET exam:-

For JRF Post :-Your age should be below 28 years.

For Lectureship Post :-There is no age criteria.
