After completion of MCA degree, you can apply for M.Phil or Ph.D course. M.Phil degree is deals with research methodology papers. There are no papers for research work. But Ph.D degree is based on research work.

You can do Ph.D admission but you should qualify in UGC NET exam.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conducted twice time in year by UGC.

Those candidates who have completed masters degree from a recognized university are eligible for NET exam. General and OBC candidates should hold 55% and above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree.

Age criteria for NET exam:-

For JRF Post :-Your age should be below 28 years.

For Lectureship Post :-There is no age criteria.

Yes, you can pursue for Ph.D after your master degree in nursing. What you need to do is to face UGC Net exam if you clear that then only get admission in colleges to study it. You can also go for M.Phil.
