Eligibility to apply in JNU PhD Entrance Test 2018


Hi, I am interested to do my PhD from JNU. So, I want to apply for it's entrance exam. I would like to know about the eligibility criteria to apply for this entrance exam of this year.

Eligibility criteria to apply for JNU Entrance test are as follows:-
Candidate must have passed post graduation from a recognized university.
Candidate must have scored at least 60 percent marks in overall qualification. It means that average marks should be 60 percent from 10th to Master’s degree.
Candidate upper age limit is not declared yet.

Eligibility Criteria Required to apply for JNU PhD Entrance Test 2018:

The basic eligibility criteria required to apply for this JNU PhD Entrance Test varies. Eligibility Criteria for PhD (Direct Admission) and PhD through JRF varies.

A) PhD Direct Admission Eligibility Criteria:
* You must have passed 2 year M.Phil degree or pass 1 year M.Phil degree with 1 year research experience.
(or)
* You must have passed Master's Degree/ B.E/ B.Tech and have minimum 2 years research experience. You must have secured minimum 55% marks in the qualifying examination.

B) PhD Admission through JRF:
* You must have passed M.Sc course in relevant subject. Besides this, you must have qualified for the examination for a fellowship through national level written examination.
* i.e., JRF category under CSIR/ UGC NET-JRF, ICMR JRF, DBT JRF, INSPIRE Fellowship...etc.,
