As far as my best knowledge is concerned, University of Kolkata is the only university which offers this Ph.D in Botany course. You must have qualified JRF / NET or SET/ GATE or its equivalent in order to pursue this Ph.D in Botany course. Candidates with valid GATE/ NET by UGC or M.Phil or its equivalent qualification are not required to appear at the admission test but would need to qualify in the Interview. There are only two processes.

>> With Valid GATE/ NET Score: Need to qualify in the Interview

>> Without Valid GATE/ NET Score: You are required to appear at the admission test but would need to qualify in the Interview.
