Is it necessary to appear in DBT JRF for PhD(Biotechnology) admission? What is JRF?

Hello friends, I have heard that to secure an admission for a PhD in Biotechnology course, I have to appear for the DBT JRF. Is it really necessary to appear in this entrance exam? And what is JRF? I don't know about this. Kindly let me know about this asap.

No, It is not necessary to appear in DBT JRF for PhD(Biotechnology) admission.

You can also get admission through UGC NET / CSIR or equivalent exam.

JRF stand for Junior Research Fellowship.

In this scheme you will get Rs. 25000 per month throughout the course duration as stipend.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
