Requirements to secure PhD(Physics) admission in Calcutta University?


Hello everyone, I just want to know about the requirements for securing admission in Calcutta University to pursue a PhD in Physics course. I want to get admission in this university for this PhD course. Please tell me about the requirements asap.

You have completed Masters degree in Physics so you are eligible for Ph.D course in Calcutta University but your masters degree marks must be above 55% from a recognized University.

You must have valid CSIR NET score card to get admission in Calcutta University for Ph.D course.

List of entrance exams available for PhD after M.Sc Physics:-

1.CSIR NET exam

2.GATE exam

You can get 32,000/- fellowship per month.

The requirements to secure PhD in Physics admission at Calcutta University is a candidate must have passed Master's degree in the relevant field with a minimum score of 55% marks in aggregate for general category and for SC/ST it is 50% marks in aggregate. Admission selection to study PhD in Physics at Calcutta University is done on the basis of the Research Entrance Test which is conducted by the university departments followed by an interview.
