I am tanu chouhan(40)from sc category. I had done ma(public administration) with 50% marks in 1998. Now i want to do phd in the same subject. My question is, Is there any benefit of doing mphil before phd?

I am about to join MPhil in Biotechnology at University of Delhi South Campus. Please let me know the benefits of doing an MPhil. I just got done with my M.Sc. in Biotechnology (2014). I have GATE qualification but no NET yet. Also, does having an MPhil degree improves one's chances of doing lectureship?

Firstly you are asking important question and yes in PhD
There is necessary master degree done with atleast 60%
Marks to give entrance exam of UGC- net and I think m.
Phil is one of the best master degree for PhD
You can also take other degrees likes MBA,mca ,m.tech,
Msc for PhD entrance exam.
