- NET exam is conducted for Indian national candidates by central board of secondary education every year for selection of eligible candidates for teaching purpose in government educational institutes.

- Minimum qualification required to apply for NET exam is master’s degree or equivalent qualification from government recognized institute with minimum 55% marks obtained.

- Age limit to apply for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) is 28 years, relaxation of 3 years for OBC category candidates, Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST category candidates.
