Work experience is not compulsory for Ph.D admission, but if you have at least 5 years experience in the concerned field, then you will get exemption from appearing in entrance exam.

Admission will be on the basis of performance in written exam and interview, if you don't have the experience. Guide is a part of Ph.D programme and will be allotted by the concerned university. Hence, it is mandatory to have a Guide.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
