Will I be eligible for JRF being 28 years and 6 months old?


I will be 28 years 6 months old at the time of appearing for Net JRF exam this year in November. Will I be eligible for JRF? Please let me know.

Eligibility criteria for JRF:-

You are not eligible to apply for JRF at the age of 28 years and 6 months. The upper age limit for appearing JRF examination is 28 years for general category and 28 + 5 years for OBC / SC/ ST candidates.
The aspirant can appear for assistant professor examination, as there is no age limit restriction. If the aspirant belongs to the OBC/ SC/ST category, then he is eligible for the JRF.

Eligibility age criteria required for JRF Examination:

The basic information about the age criteria required to apply for JRF Examination is given below:

Name of the Job Role - Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

@ The upper age limit for appearing in JRF Examination is 31 years.

@ Of course there is an age relaxation for reserved category candidiates as per the government norms.

@ As you are 28 years 6 months old, I can say that you will be eligible for JRF Examination.
