Yes, you are eligible for the SET/NET examination after completing post-graduation in Mechanical Engineering. SET(State Eligibility Test)/NET(National Education Test) is an examination for lectureship in universities and colleges. The educational qualification required is a candidate must have passed a Master's degree or equivalent with a minimum score of 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. The candidate age should not be less than 19 years and there is no upper age limit.

Yes, you are eligible for SET/NET exam.
National eligibility test is conducted by UGC alone and CSIR-UGC jointly. There is no special paper for mechanical engineering in both net exams. The net exam conducted by CSIR-UGC used to has a stream called engineering sciences, every branch of engineering student is eligible to write. However, it's mainly advantage to mechanical engineering student due to it's syllabus and paper pattern. |
