I have completed b. Tech with 60% of marks but i am good in programming, can get the job.

Percentage of marks required varies with company.

For MNC like Wipro and TCS, 60% marks is the minimum cutoff required.

Infosys usually specifics a cut off percentage of 65.

Those wishes to join IBM or NEST, should have a minimum of 70% marks. Go through the job notification of the company to find out the cut off percentage.

For big companies such as TCS It is important to score atleast 60% in every exam and CGPA should be atleast 6.
More CGPA you get in b.tech , more are the chances of you getting job.

If you don't have enough coding skills, then don't go for product based company.
But if you are master at coding domain , this this type of company is best for you.

Minimum percentage required for job in software:-

A minimum of 55% marks in 10+2 or equivalent is compulsory for pursuing B. Tech/B.E. in software engineering or diploma courses in the same.

For admission in M. Tech in Software Engineering, candidates must have a passing certificate of graduation level with a minimum aggregate of 50% in the required field.

To get job as a software engineer in big service companies like-TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Accenture ,a good percentile of academic carrier must be needed. Most of the companies require atleast minimum of 65℅ both in 10th and 12th and in BTech, minimum of 70 % is required in entire 4 year .

This is not the case in off-campus, here the percentage in 10th Or 12th may vary or may be less than 60%, so it's a good opportunity for you.

If you are targeting product companies like Amazon, Google etc then you should be talented & focused enough from beginning of your btech career. Most of these companies require coding skills and puzzle solving skills.

Required percentage of marks throughout the studies for Software companies is,

Software Company= 50%

You should not have any pending backlogs.

Candidates having more than two years gap in throughout the studies are not eligible for Software company recruitment.

You have a great career as you are a software engineer.
Software Engineer are the professional for Testing, Designing and development.

You must have a Science Stream with PCM in 12th with minimum 55%marks for pursuing B.Tech,B.E in Software Engineering.
