My eye sight is not 6/6. So can I join Merchant Navy without any issues or is there any other solution for it? What should be the minimum eye sight requirement for selection without any hassle?

There should be no colour blindness.

For the Deck Department of the ship: Vision should be 6/6 in better eye and 6/9 in the other eye.

for the Engine and Electrical Department of the ship : Vision should be 6/12 in each eye or 6/9 in better eye and 6/18 in the other eye.
