The Information Practices paper of CBSE is a 70 marks paper to be answered in 3 hours. It consists of writing codes and programmes as answers to most questions. Make sure that your concepts are very clear and you will be able to do well on the paper. There is no negative marking. The paper is divided into three sections. Each section is compulsory and carries different weight age of marks. Make sure to solve the last years’ question papers to get a deeper understanding of how much time to allot to each question or else the paper could turn out to be lengthy. Informatics Practices, as a subject, has more wide a scope than anyone can imagine. Once artificial intelligence enters our lives, it is bound to stay, and then only people will realize the importance of studying the subject. Meanwhile, Informatics as a subject for examination is oppressive for the student, it is one in which you have to get everything into the mind all at once, and then answer the questions. So there definitely is a need to see into the current system of examinations in this subject and shift to a more practical and student-friendly one!
