Combined Defense Services Examination is conducted by twice every year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruiting cadres for the Air Force, Army and Navy. The candidates who get selected in the exam are sent to Air Force Academy, Begumpet, Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai and Naval Academy, Goa for training. The CDS exam is conducted in two phase. Phase one is a written exam and phase two is an interview. The paper has three sections of 100 marks each i.e. the full marks for CDS paper is 300. The three sections of this paper cover General Knowledge, English and Mathematics. The questions are objective type with multiple options. Through thisexamanyobody who qualifies it can enter the Indianarmy,,navy orairforce.
Forthis exama student need to be graduate and unmarrried.
girls can also apply for theexam.
For technical stream you needto have studied maths and physics at 12.

can any one give me any refrence book for g.k part in cds for ota 2001........

I was looking for sample papers for Sainik School or military school fo my son preparing for class 6th entrance test.

where is the solution of these papers
i want the key of these previous year exams...plse help me out

The CDSE exam is conducted by the UPSC twice a year.

Only those candidates who have passed graduation from

any field are eligible for appearing in the exam.

Also, candidates in the final year can apply.


Age Limits:

For IMA:19-23 years

For NA:19-22 years

For AFA:19-23 years

For OTA:19-25 years.

yes you can give the exam, but for this ur minimum educational qualification should be physics +maths at 10+2th level

there is not required of percentage in 12th std but you have to pass out your graduation with 45% marks
