In the course of Education it is very important to know the means through which the best of education can be imparted than anything else. Effective education can be imparted only when the means of interaction is right and this can be best understood through the study of Cognition and Learning among students of different age and backgrounds. The amount of learning imparted and imbibed depends on the cognitive development and learning of the student. Some of the topics are Vygotsky and Piaget’s theories, views on how the world is primarily social, specific implications of Vygotsky’s theory for an elementary school teacher, motivating students as one of the primary challenges a teacher faces, Weiner’s theory of attribution, Understanding the concepts of Zone of proximal development, Scaffolding, peer learning, development of metacognitive knowledge and cognitive self-regulation with reference to different age groups, cognitive self – regulation as a means of completion of complex tasks. This paper’s maximum marks are 70. The marks distribution is like 20 marks for 1st questions, which is also the compulsory one, 30 marks for Section A in which you need to attempt 2 questions having 15 marks each and 20 marks for Section B in which you have to again answer 2 questions but having 10 marks each.
