The Delhi University Microbiology, First year papers includes detailed study of 8 subjects in the first year. This includes detailed study of the subjects like bacteriology, introduction to the microbial world, Chemistry I and II, mathematics and statistics, Phycology and Mycology etc. the subjects have descriptive type of questions in their paper of 100m marks. The pattern of the paper varies with papers. Some papers have 6 questions out of which 5 are to be answered with one of the questions being compulsory. Another pattern had only 5 questions which are compulsory to be answered. Another pattern had around 8 questions in which 5 is to be answered by the students. Time is generally 3 hours only.
