Annamalai University is one of the largest residential universities of India. The University is located in Annamalainagar. Annamalai University was the first university to offer postgraduate courses through the distance learning mode. M.Sc. in Botany is also offered by the university. The course is of two years. In the first year of the course the paper of Microbiology, Plant pathology and Biological Techniques is there. The exam of the subject is held twice every year- in May and December. There are three sections in the 100 mark paper. The first section has short answer type questions, the second section has long answer type questions and the last section has essay type questions. The questions are with internal choices.
