Department of Pre-University Education Karnataka (PUE Board) Chemistry Exam – Download Previous Year’s Question Papers
There are four sections in the question paper and all of them are compulsory. Section A has ten questions carrying 10 marks, Section B has ten questions of two marks each, Section C has eight questions having weightage of 5 marks each and Section D is further divided into D1 and D2, which carries 20 marks. The first section has objective type questions such as define threshold energy, process used for desilverisation of lead, general equation for Wurtz Reaction, Faraday’s first law of electrolysis etc. the second section consists of short questions such as process of ionization isomerism, energy level diagram for helium molecule and its bond order, process of conversion of chloroethane to ethanoic acid etc. In Part C, all questions have sub-parts, precise answers are expected. Some important topics are electronic configuration of oxygen molecule, explanation of the process of extraction of cast iron with suitable labeled diagram, and mathematical problems. In Part D, there is a combination of application type questions and mathematical problems.
