The Mathematics-I paper is a common paper where the student is required to study certain theories and principles of Mathematics which are also part of other advanced courses. The content of this paper concentrates on technology related concepts which the students of this field is expected to be familiar with. There are essentially two parts in this paper. The first part deals with algebra and consists of indices and surds, logarithm as well as arithmetic and geometrical progression. This also will have questions from binary theorems, matrices and vector algebra. It is important that the definitions are properly grasped along with the equations and mathematical problems. The second part of this paper deals with trigonometry. This contains measurement of angles, trigonometric ratios, standard and allied angles, compound angle, properties and solution of a triangle and periodic functions and graphs. It is important that the students reads through the paper clearly and select the questions that he or she is most familiar with. Below are attached some of the previous year’s question papers.
