The Financial Market Practice paper is a completely descriptive type paper with essay type questions. The paper code is MFP-5,the full marks of the paper is 100 and the student has to answer five long questions with weightage 20 marks each from a given choice of 8 questions. There are no separate sections. Some questions may have a shorter part and a second part which is descriptive. The questions are mostly theoretical and look for very well researched and factually correct answers. Some of the commonly asked topics for the examination paper are the advantages and disadvantages of the different investment strategies in Portfolio Management, the classification and structure of the various kinds of mutual funds and the determinants of consumer behavior of the investors in mutual funds, stages involved in a typical venture capital process and roles of people such as sub-broker, Remisier and Authorised person in the financial markets.
