A careful analysis of the paper pattern helps to do well in any exam. Some of the things to be remembered for the B.Sc 1st Year Botany Paper-I: Protophyta, Thallophyta, Bryophyta and Pteridophyta Paper under Kuvempu University are that the exam is of 3 hours duration and maximum marks for it is 85. The paper is divided into 4 sections and all sections are compulsory to answer but internal options are present in some of the sections. The 1st section consists of 10 simple one word or one sentence answer type questions of 1 mark each. The second section is of 15 marks and any five questions of 3 marks each have to be answered, similarly the third section is of 30 marks and in the last section any three questions of 10 marks each have to be answered.
