This subject involves a thorough grounding in computer applications, which includes a comprehensive understanding of Artificial Intelligence. In the 5th semester the paper of Artificial Intelligence includes topics like heuristic search technique, decomposition of problem, inferential distance, and first search algorithm and so on. The topics are covered in details and must be carefully understood as conceptual topics. There are other topics which are given more ground and taught in greater details like production systems, propositional resolution algorithm, scripts, knowledge representation systems and such like. These are topics with a greater scope and hence are studied in greater detail. This paper is an important one, and is application based, which means that the theory taught as part of the course must be incorporated while attempting to solve problems based in them. Semantic nets, conversational postulates, general purpose search techniques are also part of the paper, apart from some of the issues mentioned above.
