Environmental Engineering is a paper offered to students of Environmental Technology in their 2nd semester and it creates a strong understanding in the subject. It teaches the students how to work for the betterment of the environment, and to create ecologically sustainable projects. Topics include sustainable development, basic concepts of afforestation and deforestation, ecological sustainability, ecological dynamism and other such issues. The course is wide ranging and provided students pursuing a post graduate degree in Environmental Technology to be aware of the current and pressing issues of the environment in order to broaden the scope of their knowledge. This is a paper which also includes topics like water transmission and redistribution, application of hydraulics in environment, use of software applications, drainage and conservation of storm water, collection and channeling of waste water, the methodology of sedimentation and floatation, chemical waste treatment and processing and so on. The paper is an important one and must be given attention enough. It has got 3 parts. First part holds 10 marks while other two parts holds 20 marks each.
