Botany is one such subject for which civil services exams are conducted by the UPSC. The medium of the question paper is English. The total mark contained by this paper is 300 and the no. of questions is 120. The total time allowed to solve this paper is two hours. All the questions in this paper are multiple choice types and have four options in each question of which only one is correct. There is negative marking for each wrong answer attempted and 33% of marks of that question would be deducted. However, no marks would be deducted if the question is left unanswered.
