It includes money assets, theory of money (Quantity theory, Fisher-Transaction Equation, Keyne’s approach), Inflation aspects including pull and push inflations, effects, measures, control policies, Philips curve analysis, credit control, Theory of employment, laws of market (Pigou’s, Keynesion theories), marginal efficiency of capital, phases of trade cycle, international trade (monetary aspect), balance of payment disequilibrium, public finance, taxation and its impact, public debt ., as syllabus.

Paper Pattern: In the question paper, out of 5 questions, the choice will not be provided for the first and last question. 2,3 and 4 questions will have an alternative choice. Hence, 5 questions should be attempted and each carries 14 marks on its head. They are subjective type and subdivided.

Time allotted and Maximum Marks: For 70 marks, time allowed is 3 hours.

Key Points: Different theories like Pigu’s wage cut theory, Keynesian theory, purchasing power parity theory and related ones, marginal propensity to consume; marginal efficiency of capital should be concentrated more.
