VTU, Bangalore 1st Semester Physics Cycle- Basic Electrical Engineering Exam – Download Previous Year’s Question Papers
Basic Electrical Engineering lays down the preliminary information about electrical engineering and furnishes those topics that are helpful in practical terms to solve electrical faults later. So it is the foundational area using which prospective engineers can refurbish their skills and knowledge in the later courses. Topics are simple and cover active filters, the learning of which is analytical in nature. Basic concepts of A/D convertors and the elements of use like current, voltage, charge are widely covered. Laws governing current flow and charging mechanisms like Kirchhoff’s law are also demonstrated. Boolean algebra and mathematical theorems come in the main numerical section. Topics present include circuits, counters, diodes, LEDs and DVM. FFT or Fast Fourier Transform is a key part that includes Fourier calculation and representation. Filter includes types of filters, filter simulators, peculiar filter, time-constant systems, filtering pulse and single pole. Computation of Fourier series with numerical methods is present too.
