The control system written paper is of 70 marks, with 3 hours time duration. There are 3 groups. In group A any ten questions are compulsory, in Group B and Group C any 3 questions are compulsory. Students are given choices so that they can attempt those questions in which they can score the maximum marks. Control Systems paper consists of many numerical problems thereby giving a scope to students to get full marks. Bode plots, Nyquist criteria; block diagram, root locus, P, PI and PID type controllers are indeed very important from exam point of view. Students must practice these topics very thoroughly. Other topics are also important and students may expect questions from those topics in Group B and short notes in Group C.
