Circuit Theory and Networks is mandatory for all the branches of engineering and it has been included in the third Semester of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The Networks section of the paper deals with finding voltages and currents in a system of networks, while Circuit Theory introduces the students to the basic concepts of electric circuits, analog circuits and so on. The question paper is a combination of mathematical problems and theoretical questions and students are encouraged to answer the questions according to their understanding and not as per the bookish language. The first section has multiple choice questions on networks, finding time constant, average power, series resonant circuit etc are common questions. The second group has short answer questions which include graphical representations, finding mode voltages using diagram of the circuit etc. the third section contains descriptive questions which are completely math based. Some of the questions are drawing circuit diagram of first order highpass filter also calculate the cut-off frequency of such a circuit.
